Men's Powerful Viking Dragon Devouring Itself Pendant Necklace

The ouroboros is an ancient symbol of a snake or serpent eating its own tail, variously signifying infinity and the cycle of birth and death. While the word Ouroboros has its origins in the Greek language, representations of the symbol itself have been documented as far back as the 13th and 14th centuries BCE in ancient Egypt

Rich with historical meaning, the ouroboros symbolizes rebirth, immortality, eternity, protection, self-reliance, unity, and nature’s cycles. It’s an ancient circular symbol, dating back to 5000 BC, which depicts a snake or dragon eating its tail. Archaeologists discovered the oldest known example of an ouroboros on a jar that is possibly 7,000 years old. It belonged to the neolithic Yangshao People, who lived along the Yellow River in what is now eastern China. The ouroboros symbol has appeared on temples, artwork, and ancient artifacts from an array of cultures around the world, including Egyptian, Greek, Nordic, Indian, Amazonian, and others. The Dragon eating itself was the Nordic Viking symbol of the male and female warriors and their strength and dominance over the rest of the known world.

The Ouroboros is hailed as one of the strongest existences in the entirety of Creation. Its power surpasses that of any God or demon currently existing with the Second-Generation Primordial Deity Shiva himself has shown that he will not fight her.

The ouroboros appears in the classic alchemical study, Atalanta Fugiens (1617), by the physician to Emperor Rudolf II, Michael Maier (Credit: Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin)
